Established 11 years ago, precisely on May 9, 2014, the Communication Science Student Association of Universitas Padjadjaran, commonly known as HIMA Ilkom Unpad, was founded to serve the students. As a student organization at the study program level, it was formed to advocate for students, accommodate their interests and talents, and optimize the potential of Communication Science students at Universitas Padjadjaran.

HIMA Ilkom upholds three core principles: professionalism, equality, and compassion. Guided by these principles, the organization is committed to facilitating, developing, and encouraging Communication Science students to excel in both academic and non-academic fields.

In addition, HIMA Ilkom serves as a platform for expressing aspirations and fostering innovation. This is reflected in its diverse programs, which are designed by prioritizing the academic and non-academic needs and urgencies of Communication Science students at Universitas Padjadjaran.
