Even though it’s been seven years since my first day at Ilkom and three years since I graduated, I still often find myself reminiscing about those days. I rarely talk about this, but my love for Ilkom is incredibly strong.

The lecturers are cool and fun, and they have a great way of teaching their students. The social atmosphere is also super memorable. The course material is surprisingly engaging, too.

Of all the programs at the School of Communication, the Communication Studies program is probably the most “academic”—meaning it covers every branch of communication studies in the greatest methodological detail. The professors are very open-minded and critical, yet still a pleasure to discuss ideas with. All the courses in Communication Studies have been incredibly helpful for my current job (research assistant). Thanks, Communication Studies.

The slogan “Best School of Communications” isn’t just a slogan—it really is the best: the best curriculum, the best facilities, and most importantly, the best faculty. I’ve gained so much knowledge in the Communication Studies program that’s been incredibly useful in the professional world and has really helped advance my career. It’s simply the best!

Choosing a Communication Science major back in 2018 was a life-changing decision for me. It opened my eyes to new insights that have helped me grow in many aspects—mindset, decision-making, habits, problem-solving, creativity, and more. What made the journey even more exciting were the countless “wow” moments in communication theory, realizing that so many concepts reflect what happens around us every day. It just made sense.
