Universitas Padjadjaran has officially announced its new faculty leadership for the upcoming term. During the official announcement held at the Unpad Rectorate Plaza, Jatinangor, on Monday, 1 December 2025, the Rector of Universitas Padjadjaran, Prof. Arief Sjamsulaksan Kartasasmita, appointed Dr. Nindi Aristi, S.Sos., M.Comn. as the Dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences for the 2026 to 2030 period. The aspirations of the Faculty Senate and the voices of the academic community were among the primary considerations in the Rector’s decision making process. “I hope this announcement is not seen as merely the Rector’s personal decision, but rather as the result of a collective agreement among all parties directly related to the future deans,” he stated.
Dr. Nindi Aristi, S.Sos., M.Comn., a lecturer in the Communication Science study program who previously served as the Director of Marketing at Universitas Padjadjaran, has now been officially appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences for the 2026 to 2030 term. This appointment reflects the strong confidence that she will be able to lead the Faculty with exemplary conduct, courage, and a firm commitment to academic values. With an impressive track record, Dr. Nindi Aristi, S.Sos., M.Comn. was selected through a comprehensive and rigorous process. As previously conveyed by the Rector through the official Unpad website, this year’s dean selection process was different as it was supported by the University Selection Team, which worked with dedication, integrity, and great care. The team developed various selection instruments, including screening by the Faculty Senate, an open poll for lecturers, academic staff, and students, competency assessments, and interviews with the dean candidates.
