Sharing Session of Fikom Unpad Alumni

As part of the 65th Anniversary celebration, the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran, held a Sharing Session with Fikom Alumni featuring six inspiring alumni: Roberth MV (Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga), Soleh Solihun (comedian and director), Ishfihana Hafny (Vice President of Technology, Asset Integrity Risk & BCM at PT Pertamina), Dioma Asatsuku (Head of Sports at Vidio.com), Adhi Pratama (Public Relations at Persib), and Ronal Surapradja (comedian and influencer). The event was moderated by Ira Mirawati, a Fikom lecturer warmly known as Bu Ira, who opened the session and invited Soleh Solihun to deliver a short stand-up comedy performance that successfully lightened the atmosphere.

The first segment focused on the alumni’s college experiences. Soleh shared stories about his involvement in the Student Executive Board (BEM), creating the Karung Goni and Fikom Babe magazines, and forming a band. Roberth MV recalled his active participation in student organizations, founding a football club, and joining a theater community. Ishfihana Hafny reminisced about establishing the Fikom Graphic Group (KGF) and emphasized that the knowledge she gained remains relevant today, especially in managing systems, applications, and risk management. Ronal Surapradja revealed that communication science has opened many doors for his career and encouraged students to actively join organizations both inside and outside campus. Adhi Pratama, Head of Communication at Persib, shared his experiences as a member of the Fikom Music Community (KMF) and Bandung Historia Community, which helped him build networks and communication skills. Meanwhile, Dioma Asatsuku stated that the campus environment gave him the courage to try new things without fear of failure and encouraged students to seize opportunities and make the most of their college years.

In the next segment, the alumni discussed the skills needed to thrive in today’s job market. Dioma highlighted that experience and its impact weigh more than GPA, though maintaining a good GPA remains important. Adhi emphasized that writing skills are one of the key abilities he always looks for in job interviews. Ronal reminded students that the number of communication graduates is high every year, so students must identify their interests, seek opportunities, and understand industry needs to stand out. Ishfihana stressed the importance of building a relevant portfolio early and learning how to interact with various types of people. Meanwhile, Roberth encouraged students to maintain a positive digital footprint, use social media for meaningful content, and uphold proper communication ethics both online and offline.

The final segment featured a Q&A session, giving participants the chance to ask questions directly to the speakers.

This event is expected to inspire Fikom students to become more actively involved in organizations, build their portfolios, and sharpen skills that are relevant to the professional world. The Sharing Session with Fikom Alumni serves not only as a platform for sharing experiences but also as a reminder that college life is the best time to explore, learn, and prepare for the future.
