Collaboration in Health Communication through the Friday Wellness Program with Ilkom Unpad

Friday Wellness was once again held by the Communication Studies Program at Universitas Padjadjaran on October 24, 2025. The event was attended by students from the 2024 cohort, both Class A and Class B, who were divided into 11 groups. Starting at 7:00 a.m. (WIB), the program featured two main activities: a song-guessing game session and a roleplay learning session for the Health Communication course. The students participated enthusiastically, reflecting their high level of excitement and engagement in this activity.

The event began with a music guessing game, which immediately created a lively and cheerful atmosphere among the participants. In this game, students worked in groups to guess the title and singer of various popular songs. The atmosphere felt both competitive and friendly as each group tried to answer as quickly and accurately as possible. In addition to providing entertainment, this game also served as a way to foster teamwork, quick thinking, and a sense of togetherness at the start of the day.

After the game session, the event continued with the main activity, health communication roleplay. In this session, 11 student groups performed communication simulations covering a variety of health topics, including emotional support, mental health, the importance of maintaining good relationships among health workers, support from the surrounding environment, and many more. Each group demonstrated creativity and strong communication skills in delivering health messages in ways that were engaging, informative, and easy for the audience to understand.

This activity was not only entertaining but also served as a practical learning experience for students to enhance their communication abilities, teamwork, and the application of communication theories in real-life contexts. During this edition of Friday Wellness, the 2024 Communication Studies students gained valuable learning experiences through a creative and interactive approach that allowed classroom theories to be directly implemented in practice.

Toward the end of the event, the faculty team announced the roleplay results and presented awards to the best-performing groups and individuals. The awards included Best Story per Class, Best Actor and Actress per Class, as well as Best Costume, Best Property, and Best Group for each cohort. The announcement was met with enthusiasm and applause, serving as recognition of the students’ hard work, creativity, and dedication in delivering their best performances.

This activity also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being and Goal 4: Quality Education, which promote the creation of a learning environment that supports health, collaboration, and personal development. The event concluded on a warm and cheerful note, leaving a sense of pride and accomplishment among all participants.
