On Tuesday, October 22, 2024, the Academic Community of Communication Science Study Programme visited Myongji University, South Korea. The visit was done to develop the curriculum and education program so that they’ll be more fitting for careers at an international level, to improve on collaborations in fields of education, research, publication, and staff-student exchange, and to increase the achievement for the Local Universities’ Main Performance Indicator for collaborations with international universities. Unpad’s Communication Science Faculty Team namely Prof. Dr. Atwar Bajari, Drs., M.Sc. as Vice Dean 1, Dr. Jenny Ratna Suminar, Dra., M.Sc. as Vice Dean 2, and Dr. Nindi Aristi, M.Comn. as the Head of Communication Science Study Programme were the representatives for the visit.
In the process of cooperation activities, MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) and MoA (Memorandum of Agreement) were signed as strategic steps in building more specific cooperation between the two parties. In addition, it was also agreed that students who participated in the student exchange would not be charged a tuition fee, could study for a maximum of 1 year, and they also agreed on the quota of students for the student exchange program at Myongji University. This collaboration is expected to help students, especially International Undergraduate Program (IUP) students, to participate in the student exchange program and develop skills and insights abroad. Hopefully both parties of the University can establish a good partnership relationship and open various accessibility options related to other educational programs. (Ed)
