In this fast-paced world, there are moments when everything seems to pause briefly, giving us the opportunity to enjoy peace in silence. Seclusion Day, known as “Nyepi,” is a day of silence observed by Hindus in Indonesia to mark the Saka New Year, allowing us to reflect on the true meaning of tranquility and spiritual purity. Historically, the origin of Nyepi comes from the Sanskrit word meaning ‘silent’ or ‘no activity.’ Today, on March 11, 2024, we celebrate the Saka New Year 1946.
Happy Seclusion Day, Saka New Year 1946, to all who commemorate it! May this day bring peace and blessings to us all. (Ed)
