June 1st is commemorated as the commemoration of the Birthday of Pancasila and is an important moment to reflect again on the foundation of the Indonesian state which was initiated by Soekarno in 1945. Pancasila exists as a guideline for the nation’s life that unites the diversity of ethnicities, religions, cultures, and languages in a unity of national values.
The values of Pancasila are not only the basis of the constitution, but also a guide in the life of society, nation, and state. In the midst of today’s global dynamics, the practice of Pancasila values, such as divinity, humanity, unity, deliberation, and social justice, has become increasingly relevant to maintain harmony and strengthen the nation’s character.
Through the commemoration of Pancasila’s Birthday, it is hoped that the entire academic community of Communication Studies at Padjadjaran University can continue to instill and practice Pancasila values in daily life, both in the academic environment and in society.
