Students of Communication Science from the 2024 and 2025 cohorts, especially those from the International Undergraduate Program (IUP), filled the seats of the Postgraduate Auditorium at Fikom Unpad on Friday, August 29, 2025. The atmosphere was lively, particularly when representatives from Hanyang University took the stage.
This visit was part of the ongoing partnership between the Communication Science Program at Fikom Unpad and Hanyang University. In their presentation, that South Korean university introduced their campus in greater detail, covering its location, history, facilities, university rankings, and international accreditations.
They also highlighted several of their international programs. Among them was the Visiting Student Program, which offers broader opportunities compared to regular exchange programs, as it does not require a minimum GPA or language proficiency score.
The presentation was met with enthusiastic responses from students. One of the highlights was Hanyang University’s use of artificial intelligence (AI) to provide real-time translations of lectures into multiple languages, complete with downloadable subtitles after class. Excitement grew further when students learned about the university’s collaboration with instructors from 1Million Dance Studio, one of South Korea’s most renowned dance studios.
Following the engaging presentation, the event continued with an interactive Q&A session, where students posed questions that were answered directly and thoroughly by the Hanyang University team.
The visit concluded with a group photo session and the distribution of souvenirs, including pens, stickers, and notepads featuring Hanyang University’s official mascot.
