Hello, Communication Students!
Another proud moment was recorded by a Communication Science student at Universitas Padjadjaran, this time the story comes from one of the students of the class of 2023. Let’s get to know Fifi Alexandra Renata Iskandar or who is familiarly called Fifi. Fifi is the winner of 1st place in the Copywriting competition in the Creative Advertising Festival at UIN Sunan Kalijaga which took place from March 25 to June 8 2024.
Fifi said that her motivation to take part in this competition mostly came from the Creative Writing course. The concepts she learned from this course ultimately challenged her to hone her copywriting skills. Even in the process, she felt that she really enjoyed every writing process that she did. This then coincided when she found information about the Creative Advertising Festival competition through the account of the Communication Sciences Association of another campus, and decided to take part in this competition.
She also shared tips that really helped her in preparing copywriting for this competition. First, in-depth research is important to provide a solid foundation and informed view of the topic at hand. Understanding the target audience is also a crucial tip for writers to ensure their writing is effective, relevant and on target. Lastly, create an interesting headline and other supporting elements. By using interesting headlines, readers will be curious about the information contained in our writing. Don’t forget to use elements such as emojis that are relevant to the object that will be discussed in the article.
In the Copywriting Competition at the Creative Advertising Festival, Fifi wrote in the form of promotional copywriting for a product and related it to the essence of loving local products. The local product highlighted in her article is Wardah Glasting Liquid Lip. Fifi also emphasized that in her work, she tries to combine local values and promote the product in an interesting way in copywriting.
Through this competition, Fifi was very grateful to be able to get the best impression during the competition process.
