On August 13, 2025, the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran (Fikom Unpad) officially held the New Student Reception for the 2025/2026 Academic Year. The event, held on the Fikom Unpad campus, marked the first step for new students to become familiar with the academic environment they will embark upon. Attendance was mandatory for all incoming students as part of their initial adaptation process to university life.The agenda included an introduction to the Communication Science Program, introductions to the teaching faculty, a presentation of graduate profiles, and an overview of the curriculum to be undertaken. In addition, new students had the opportunity to meet their academic advisors in person for their first academic guidance session. This was expected to serve as a strong foundation for students in planning their academic journey.
The event was attended by the Head of the Communication Science Study Programme, Kunto Adi Wibowo, Ph.D., along with the teaching faculty. It was hoped that this occasion would inspire and motivate the new students to embrace their future academic endeavors.
A lively and enthusiastic atmosphere filled the day, marked by warm interactions between students, lecturers, and program administrators. With the start of this reception, it is expected that the new Communication Science students at Fikom Unpad will quickly adapt and be motivated to pursue their studies with great enthusiasm, carrying the vision to become critical, creative, and ethical communication professionals.
