The Communication Science Study Programme participated in the Outcome Based Education (OBE) Curriculum Development Workshop and the Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL) Measurement Techniques Workshop. Organized by the Indonesian Communication Science Higher Education Association (ASPIKOM) with support from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Atma Jaya University Yogyakarta, this workshop aimed to enhance the quality of higher education in Indonesia. The event took place on May 20, 21, and 22, 2024, at Sahid Raya Hotel & Convention Yogyakarta and Atma Jaya University Yogyakarta, located at Jl. Babarsari No. 44, Janti Depok, Sleman, DIY.
The workshop was attended by 119 participants representing 64 Communication Science programmes from various public and private universities across Indonesia. The event began with an explanation of OBE on the first day, followed by discussions on CPL on the second day, which included best practices, expert presentations, and presentation sessions. The third day concluded with a joint discussion addressing various challenges faced by study programmes in the accreditation process.
This workshop aimed to deepen the understanding of OBE through forums for discussion and the exchange of empirical experiences. Additionally, the event sought to enhance participants’ skills in designing OBE-based curricula and techniques for measuring graduate learning outcomes. (Ed)
