The Certified Internship and Independent Study (MSIB) Batch 7 program has officially ended, and it brought proud news for students of the Communication Science Study Programme of Universitas Padjadjaran. These students successfully passed the selection in various private companies and government agencies. Some of them got positions in the fields of social media, marketing, and content creators. These three fields are very popular among Communication Science students because they are in line with the profile of Digital Communication Planner graduates.
However, many students focus on popular graduate profiles, less exploring opportunities in other fields, such as Scientific Communication Professional and Social Entrepreneur, which also offer good careers.
One example of a Scientific Communication Professional is Salsabila Rahadatul Aisy, known as Sasa. Sasa just finished her MSIB Batch 7 internship at Bank Indonesia’s West Java Regional Representative Office as a Researcher.
Sasa said her job was immensely related to the classes she took in the Communication Science Study Programme. She was working on a research project called “Communication Strategy and Socialization of Payment System and Digital Economy.” She said that the classes she took, such as Survey Methods and Communication Auditing, helped her a lot. She even mentioned that her current research is almost the same as the final project in the Communication Audit course.
Sasa’s experience showed that choosing a career that follows your interests can also be very rewarding. By exploring a wider range of options, Communication Science students can find careers that fit their skills and goals. So, are you interested in trying a career like Sasa’s? (Ed)
