Appreciation for “Best Video” in the Final Project for Organizational Communication

The conclusion of the even semester marks the end of the Organizational Communication course for the Communication Science students in their second semester. This semester, the Communication Science students from the class of 2023 at Universitas Padjadjaran engaged with the Organizational Communication course. Within the academic curriculum, this course often serves as a platform for students to demonstrate their ability to design and implement effective communication strategies. This objective is achieved through the final project created by the Yellow Fellows 2023 cohort.

The final project took the form of a roleplay video addressing various aspects of Organizational Communication. This approach is particularly engaging as it allows students to apply the theoretical knowledge they have accumulated during the course to practical scenarios.

Several recognition categories were established to evaluate the works produced by the students. Each category considers various aspects, from the clarity of the organizational message, the most popular roleplay video, to the overall quality of the roles and content presented in the roleplay videos. These recognitions were awarded based on voting by Communication Science students from the class of 2023, divided into classes A and B.

The winners in each category are as follows:

Favorite Roleplay Video:

Class A: Team Lalapan

Class B: Team Bridges

Roleplay Video with the Most Understandable Organizational Message:

Class A: Team Marmut

Class B: Team Orba & Team OWL

Best Roleplay Video (in terms of quality, content completeness, and role suitability):

Class A: Team Lalapan

Class B: Team Bridges

The outcomes of the roleplay videos from the winning teams in these recognition categories demonstrate the students’ ability to translate theoretical concepts into creative projects. This achievement should serve as an impetus for students and others to continue developing creativity grounded in the theories learned during the course.

Even though not all teams secured victories in the various recognition categories, other groups from the class of 2023 still deserve commendation for their dedication, hard work, innovation, and creativity in their roleplay video projects. Through their works, we can also gain different perspectives on organizational communication.

Thank you to the Communication Science students of the class of 2023 for your dedication and participation! (Ed).
