On July 24, 2024, the Communication Studies Program at Universitas Padjadjaran hosted the National Seminar titled “AIKOM 2024: Abdi Insan Komunikasi Bagi Negeri (Devotion of Communication Professionals)” This seminar focused on the theme of innovation and empowerment communication to enhance community welfare.
The AIKOM 2024 seminar is part of the Empowerment Communication course, featuring the dissemination of programs and activities conducted by students. It also includes the exchange of experiences from various academic institutions and government bodies.
Ikhsan Fuady, M.Si, a Communication Studies lecturer and the Chair of AIKOM 2024, stated that AIKOM 2024 serves as a collaborative platform for developing empowerment communication. He expressed his hope that AIKOM will inspire and motivate participants to commit to improving community development.
The AIKOM 2024 series also includes a public lecture by Professor Dr. Gati Gayatri, a researcher from the National Research and Innovation Agency’s Center for Community and Cultural Studies, and Dr. Hadi Suprapto, a lecturer from Unpad’s Faculty of Communication. Additionally, the event features an exhibition of MSMEs fostered by the Communication Studies Program.
The evaluation of AIKOM 2024’s activities indicates a positive outcome, with the event running smoothly. Supported by sponsors such as Biofarma, Pertamina, Indonesia Indicator, and others, AIKOM 2024 successfully engaged numerous participants and stakeholders. (Ed)
