The Communication Science Study Program has established a new policy regarding the criteria for awarding the Cum Laude distinction to students. This policy applies to thesis defense candidates from all cohorts, effective from the Odd Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year.

The establishment of these criteria aims to recognize students who not only demonstrate outstanding academic achievement but also actively contribute to scholarly activities through publications in national journals.

The additional requirements that must be fulfilled by students to obtain the Cumlaude distinction are as follows:

1. At the time of thesis defense registration, students must have at least one publication in a national journal with a registered ISSN.
2. Students must be listed as the first author of the national journal publication.

This policy is expected to encourage students to enhance their research and scientific publication activities, as well as to strengthen the academic reputation of the Communication Science Study Program at the national level.
