On April 21, 2024, the Communication Science Study Programme extends its heartfelt greetings to all women in Indonesia on Kartini Day! Let us celebrate the courage and resilience of a figure who has made significant contributions to the struggle for women’s emancipation in Indonesia. Raden Ajeng Kartini, a champion of women’s rights, has inspired many with her ideas.
Kartini steadfastly raised important issues about education and the liberation of women from patriarchal traditions. Through her letters, she voiced her desire to provide equal educational opportunities for women, freeing them from the constraints of traditions that limit their potential. Kartini Day is a moment to celebrate women’s achievements, ignite the spirit of gender equality, and continue Kartini’s struggle to realize aspirations and freedom for all Indonesian women.
