Launching of “Kabinet Makna Kita”: Hima Ilkom Invites Students to Discover the True Meaning of the Student Association Within Themselves

On Tuesday, April 8th, 2025, the Student Association of Communication Science (Hima Ilkom) at Universitas Padjadjaran officially launched its 2025 cabinet: Kabinet Makna Kita. Carrying a theme full of meaning, this new cabinet aspires to help every Communication Science student discover the true significance of Hima Ilkom in their own lives.

The name Makna Kita carries a profound philosophy. Makna (meaning) reflects the desire for every Hima Ilkom program to leave a meaningful and positive impact on students, while Kita (us) serves as a reminder that all Communication Science students are an integral part of the association.

The launching event was organized by the Department of External Affairs and was attended by representatives from Hima Ilkom PSDKU, the Student Representative Council (DPM) of Hima Ilkom, student associations from across Fikom, and the BEM Fikom Unpad represented by the Department of Internal Affairs.

The event featured a series of engaging activities, including opening remarks, the screening of the Kabinet Makna Kita Company Profile (ComPro), presentation of the 2025 Grand Design of Hima Ilkom, and the DPM’s ComPro video. Adding to the festivities were musical performances by the 2023 cohort and a lively flashmob by the cabinet members.

Kabinet Makna Kita is comprised of 115 dedicated members ready to carry out a wide array of innovative programs from internal development training and inter-major sports activities to welcoming events for new students.

Afi Mulantara, Chairman of Hima Ilkom Kabinet Makna Kita, expressed his hopes:
“May all of our programs this year bring positive impacts and make every Yellow Fellow proud to be a part of Ilkom.”

With a spirit of collaboration and meaningful purpose, Kabinet Makna Kita stands ready to become a platform not only for working but also for growing and finding significance for every Communication Science Study Programme student.
