Considering the high interest and admission tightness of new students, Communication Science Study Programme is committed to generating graduates who have competencies in digital, research, and entrepreneurship by keeping large attention to the convenience of students’ services. This is shown by the recruitment and selection methods, the accessible scholarship programs, also the availability and convenience of access to other facilities. Moreover, there are also available sophisticated infrastructures, such as laboratory facilities, health facilities, sports, arts, and interests.

Communication Sciences Study Programme aims to produce three graduate profiles, namely scientific communication professional, digital communication planner, and social entrepreneur. Therefore, to achieve these graduate profiles, students of the programme are expected to achieve learning outcomes in the form of the ability to identify, explain, and use relevant communication theories in the field of health, political, cultural, and media literacy studies. In addition, students are also expected to be able to make presentations in public by combining rhetorical skills, communication planning, and visual communication. Students are also expected to be able to create communication products on various media platforms and apply quantitative and qualitative data analysis in various communication research contexts. Another ability that must also be possessed is to conduct research on the development of information and communication technology and its implications for society.

Efforts are being made to achieve all the expected competencies through the preparation of a curriculum for the programme that takes into account the development of communication science, the direction of higher education policies in Indonesia, and industry trends. The achievement of learning outcomes expected by study programmes, in general, can be proven through several forms, including lecturer-student evaluations, scientific articles published by students in accredited national journals, and products of communication programme implementation.

The communication Science Study Programme promotes the motto of “insight-based communication to enhance the society” which serves as the spirit to achieve our vision, mission, and objectives. The motto also motivates the study program to exist with updated studies and innovation for society consistently. (Ed)
